Larry was born 4/14/59 in New York City. He now resides with his wife, Maria, in Boca Raton, Florida.
Personal
: Former computer-programmer and options trader, but presently makes living from lecturing, writing/publishing bridge books/articles and playing bridge professionally. Larry has played bridge in a dozen different countries in special invitational tournaments. His biggest passion/hobby is golf and watching sports, especially his beloved Yankees.
Bridge career:
Learned at age 6 from his grandparents. Started playing duplicate at age 14 and in tournaments at age 15. Life Master at 17. Won first National Championship at age 22. Winner of 23 national championships including the Vanderbilt, 2 Spingolds, 2 Reisingers, 2 Life Master Pairs, and 4 Blue Ribbon Pairs. Two-time winner of Cavendish Invitational Pairs. Winner of the 1999 Cap Gemini World Top 16 Pairs Tournament in the Hague. Winner of Silver Medal in 1998 World Pairs Championships. Bronze Medal, 2000 Olympiad Teams. 2002 ACBL Player of the Year.

Books-CDs: Authored To Bid or Not to Bid about the LAW Of Total Tricks, and it was the best-selling bridge book of the 90's with more than 75,000 copies sold in a total of six different languages. The sequel, Following the LAW has also been a best-seller. Author of other books and many magazine articles. Wrote and published CD's� Play Bridge with Larry Cohen (1999 Life Master Pairs) -- Days 1,2,3 and My Favorite 52 (2005).
Other Bridge activities: Director of the prestigious Bridge World Master Solvers Club. Worldwide lecturer on bridge on land and at sea. National Appeals Committee Member and casebook panelist. Viewgraph commentator at national championships and on BBO. Former chairman of the ACBL Hall-of-Fame Committee.
