This month, we near the end of the 2008-2009 series on "what should we play?" Alas, it will stretch into 2010, when I will cover Defensive Signals. This month's topic is Slam Conventions.
Also, I am adding a new feature this month called "The Real Deal." These Real Deals are easier than the ones in the ACBL Bulletin. They are geared to the low-intermediate-level players.
For more advanced players, stay tuned. Many new exciting features are planned for next year such as weekly bidding practice and a series called "One million deals!"

Here is one last look into the 2009 summer nationals. That tournament provided a wealth of interesting "column deals." This month, the final 3 deals have been activated and you can read them all by 
Next month marks the debut of a new series called "1,000,000" deals. I will be drawing lots of conclusions from one million deals that were played. As a year-end teaser, on what percent of those deals would you guess the final contract was 3NT? Answer (and more) next month.
