When playing with a new partner, it is useful to have a "generic" convention card.
The ACBL SAYC card is a very simple route.
More complicated is to agree to play "Bridge World Standard."
To use the Goldilocks analogy, if those options are too easy and too difficult, maybe the "Boca Convention Card" is just right. While Mike thinks these are not the "best methods," they avoid some complicated conventions that can lead to misunderstandings.
